Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Vanguard College of Cosmetology (VCC) announced its intentions to nearly double the size of its Baton Rouge campus in the spring of 2013.  VCC’s owners, Lisa and Mark Palermo, along with John Paul Dejoria, represented by Hank Saurage, CCIM of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate, LLC, acquired a 12,000 square foot building located at 12258 Coursey Boulevard.  The building was formerly operated by the Land of Oz School and Day Care.  The sale price was $435,000 and included the adjacent vacant lot at the Parkoaks.  The property was owned by Pineda Properties, LLC represented by Bill Jeansonne, CCIM also of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate, LLC.

The subject property sat vacant for several years.  The new owners promise to take the existing dilapidated building and make it a jewel of the community.  “This isn’t our first rodeo” says Mark Palermo.  “We took a similar approach with the former Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse Headquarters in Metairie, LA, which sat empty and dilapidated for years.”
