Tyco Valves and Controls has signed a ten-year lease to relocate its operations from 6735 Exchequer Drive, in the Industriplex development, to a new facility near Old Perkins Road and Pecue Lane The new facility will be developed and built by the land owner, Continental Enterprises, and Tyco hopes to complete the move by September. The site was selected with consideration given to the Interstate 10 interchange planned at Pecue Lane. The build-to-suit project will feature a building of about 69,000 square feet situated on approximately six acres. The owner/developer was represented by Hank Saurage of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate, while the tenant was represented jointly by Bill Jeansonne with Saurage Rotenberg and CB Richard Ellis. Jeansonne will be marketing Tyco’s current 31,500-square-foot space for sublease. The new facility project is expected to create numerous construction jobs in the area. This is the second large construction project for Continental Enterprises on the 30-plus acre tract scheduled for completion this year. Last month, HD Supply signed a long-term lease for a new facility to be constructed on 10 acres adjacent to Tyco’s new site.
