Take a look around. We are seeing something that we haven’t seen in about 6 years; speculative building in commercial real estate.

In the industrial, retail and office sectors speculative, investor owned building are currently under construction. It’s not a huge amount (in terms of total square footage across all sectors) however it’s enough to indicate a growing confidence that maybe, just maybe we have made a significant step on the upswing in commercial real estate investment.
